前置詞amongのイメージは、 「不特定でたくさんの何かのなかにある」 です。

前置詞atのイメージは、 「ピンポイントの場所」 というものです。

たとえば、「ロンドンにいる」というようなひろーーーい範囲の表現は「in London」という“空間”の話でいいです。でも「ロンドン駅にいる」というような、すごくせばまった範囲の表現は「at London station」になります。

atはピンポイント！

前置詞fromのイメージは、 「もとになる地点」 というものです。

たとえば英語を話す友だちとポケモンGOをしているとき、目当てのモンスターとの距離が近づいてきたら、「It is near! It is near!」なんて言います。

My school is near the sea.

前置詞byのイメージは、 「間近にある」 というものです。

My school is by the sea.

Please finish your homework by Friday.

前置詞untilのイメージは、 「期間」 です。

前置詞afterのイメージは、 「なにかの後ろについていく」 です。

時系列的な内容では、よく使う単語ですよね。「after the class」で、「授業のあとに」など。

これは英語で言うと「after you」 です。

I will call you after 17:00.

前置詞beforeのイメージは、 「なにかの前」 です。

たとえば「私の目の前で」は「before my eyes」になります。
